16 Flights Diverted at IGI Airport As Rain Lashes Parts of Delhi-NCR

Among the diverted flights, seven were IndiGo aircraft, two Vistara, six Air India and one Air India Express

As many as 16 flights were diverted at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport between 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm on Saturday due to bad weather. The national capital witnessed heavy rainfall on Saturday evening impacting a few flight operations.

Among the diverted flights, seven were IndiGo aircraft, two Vistara, six Air India and one Air India Express.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall with thunderstorms in many parts of Delhi-NCR including Bahadurgarh, Noida, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Manesar and others.
