After India’s spectacular win against Sri Lanka, Anushka did not hesitate to express her respect and support for the team.
The India Vs. Sri Lanka match was a treat for all Indian cricket fans last evening. With this victory, Team India has secured the coveted position in the World Cup semi-finals. Actress Anushka Sharma has often been spotted cheering for the team and her cricketer husband Virat Kohli on social media or on the stands. After the spectacular win against Sri Lanka, Anushka did not hesitate to express her respect and support for the team.
Anushka Sharma took to her Instagram Stories to congratulate her husband Virat Kohli and the rest of Team India for triumphantly making it to the semi-finals. She shared a post by the Indian cricket team that featured a picture of the team rejoicing in the achievement with the tagline, “Into the Semis.” Anushka wrote, “This team (blue heart emoji),” expressing her admiration and best wishes for them.
Earlier, Anushka Sharma also reacted when Virat Kohli fell short of a century during the World Cup 2023 match between India and New Zealand. Despite his missed century, Anushka Sharma was full of praise for Virat. She captioned the video of Kohli’s wicket, “Always proud of you (red heart emoji).” She also uploaded a photo of Kohli on the pitch and referred to the cricketer as a “storm chaser.”
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have always praised and supported each other through the challenges that come in life. In his recent interview with Wrogn, Virat Kohli said that he was “forced to open his horizon of thinking” upon meeting Anushka. He expressed, “When they have a standing of their own, you have to accept it and process it into your system, which is something we didn’t grow up with.” He added that Anushka always advised him that if he is” standing by the truth” then he does not need to worry about anything “because the path will carve itself out and things will always be clean and separated.”
During the interview, Virat also lauded Anushka’s efforts in balancing motherhood and her career. He added, “When you see a life partner become a mother, that’s when you realise and understand the strength of a mother. The way Anushka handled everything is amazing and astonishing, she shot a whole film in between.” The couple married in 2017 and welcomed their daughter in January 2021. Anushka will make her acting comeback in Chakda Xpress.
