The 98-run win over LSG lifted KKR to the top of the table with 16 points from 11 games. Rajasthan Royals, who also have 16 points slipped to second due to their inferior net run rate as compared to Kolkata’s, but have a game in hand having played just 10 matches thus far in the season.

Kolkata Knight Riders pulled off a huge 98-run win over Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Sports City in Lucknow on Sunday as the visitors put up a big score of 235 runs for the loss of 6 wickets riding on Sunil Narine’s 81-run knock. KKR managed to bundle out the hosts for a total of 137 runs as Varun Chakravarthy and Harshit Rana picked up a three-wicket haul each to complete an all-round performance.

The win lifted KKR to the top of the table with 16 points from 11 games. Rajasthan Royals, who also have 16 points slipped to second due to their inferior net run rate as compared to Kolkata’s, but have a game in hand having played just 10 matches.

Chennai Super Kings, who had posted a 28-run win over Punjab Kings at the Dharamshala earlier in the day, climbed to third in the table with 12 points from 11 games, as they leapfrogged Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants, thanks to an incredible net run rate of +0.7.

SRH and LSG stand fourth and fifth respectively with NRRs of +0.07 and -0.37. Lucknow have completed 11 outings this season with their loss to KKR, while SRH have a game in hand having contested just 10 times this campaign.

Delhi Capitals, who have 10 points from 11 fixtures so far stand sixth, ahead of Royal Challengers (7th), Punjab Kings (8th) and Gujarat Titans (9th), who all have amassed 8 points this season and are separated by net run rate.

Mumbai Indians, who have had a forgettable campaign this season stand at the bottom of the points table with 6 points to their name after 11 outings.
